History
Where the Bytown Movie Theatre is now located, it was formerly known as the Lenson Theatre. The theatre first opened on February 10, 1947, with 940 seats. After 40 long years of service, the theatre closed in 1987 due to renovations.
Then, in 1989, the theatre reopened as Bytown Cinemas. The current hall has around 660+ seats. But in 2020, the theatre was closed for some days due to Corona. Restarted on October 10, 2021, and delighting all audiences.
